Coconut Oil

Coconut Oil and its many uses

I've been using coconut oil for a long time now and I love it! I use it for almost everything, but my favorite is to use it as a daily lotion. I've noticed my skin is much clearer and more smooth since I've stated lathering it on. I've since used it as a hair mask, massage oil, pulling (swishing it around your mouth to help strengthen teeth and promote gum health), makeup remover base, scrub and substituting it in food. Below is a list that I either have tried, am going to try or health related topics I came across. There are a TON of other uses for coconut oil than just the ones I post. If you type in "Coconut Oil Uses" in the search box google produces more than 3,000,000 results - not to mention the millions of recipes that use coconut oil either in food or to make items such as lotion bars, lip balms, sunscreens etc. Make sure to do your research before buying just any old coconut oil. When using on skin or for diluting other oils the best one to get is wet-milling fermentation coconut oil or if you can't find that virgin cold pressed coconut oil. It all really depends on what you're going to be using it for so make sure to read up on it!

I'm really excited to start using it as a base oil and dilute the essential oils into it. My next post will be about the essential oils I just bought and how I plan to use them and then I'll come back and say how they've helped or haven't. I just recently got really into them so I'm excited to try them out.

28 Weeks Pregnancy Update

Only 10 weeks to go!! Sometimes I cannot believe how far along I am. 28 weeks, and it seems like just yesterday we were telling everyone we were pregnant. Aside from sever morning sickness in the first trimester I haven’t had any more pregnancy complications. PTL On Tuesday January 16 th we had a growth ultrasound to check on the kiddos and make sure they’re still growing on track. It was pretty routine with all the pictures they were taking. They measure their heads, stomachs, lengths of arms and legs and checked their hearts again. Everything is looking good. Both my little girls weighed 2lbs 9oz, I was kind of shocked by this because Baby B has always been my bigger baby, but A is definitely keeping up now. Baby B still measures out a little longer than A but not by much. They are 46 th and 47 th percentile. This is great news for us as now our OB is watching to make sure one or both babies don’t fall behind on the growth charts. Pregnant moms always worry about their ba...
