What's in my Hospital Bag??

What’s in my hospital bag? (First Time Mom)

I’m currently 35 + 6 weeks with my twins and finally nailed down all the things for my hospital bag. Since I’m a first time mom I’m not sure if I over-packed or under-packed but I guess only time will tell at this point. My mom laughs at me, she says “when I had babies, we didn’t bring anything… I went to the hospital, wore whatever they gave me and then your dad just brought me clothes to go home in.” Oh how the times have changed mom! I thought it would just be fun to share what I have and you guys can let me know if I’m missing something or you know of something that worked great for you. Here we go!

This is my hospital bag all put together.

The opening of my bag. I have depends - I'm not sure how much I'll bleed afterward but I figured I don't want to ruin my own undies if I didn't have to. I know that the hospital provides mesh throw away underwear but I figured I'll have a few options this way.

Here I have my big comfy PJ pants (boyfriend style) and a large t-shirt (used to be my dad's when I was born). Two nursing bras, Two maternity style undies, Two black compression socks and a fuzzy pair of normal socks. My going home outfit is a grey skirt and rose colored maternity shirt.

This is the girls' stash. I have two plush pink blankets for them coming home in as it's still pretty cold here. Two star receiving blankets, little lamb outfits the girls will come home in. The outfits on the right are ones that I want their girls' pictures in. I'm not packing diapers or wipes because the hospital will provide all that and it'll just take up more room in my bag.

Lastly I have a smaller bag of toiletries. I have my makeup bag packed - not sure if I'll put it on while I'm there, but knowing me I probably will... I just need to add my toothpaste, contact case, solution and glasses.

Free Samples and Offers

I wanted to get this out soon as possible as I know the Holidays are upon us and everyone is looking to save some money this time of year. This post is geared towards parents of multiples but if you have singletons please feel free to reach out to the companies below too for some free samples and offers, but please be aware some offers might not apply to you. If you’re like me then the minute your babies were born you were online looking at deals and ways to save money. I came across a lot of blog posts and articles stating if you contact this company then they will send you this product free. I thought how true is this? So I put them to the test. I took many lists from the internet and combined it into one giant list of baby product companies; I then emailed and mailed each company requesting free samples due to the birth of my twin girls. Below you will find the responses I received. Some companies were great, while others were….off putting. I included coupon codes I found o...

Wedding Planner - Emergency Bridal Kit

One question I get often as a Wedding Planner is "What is in my Emergency Bridal Kit?" As a built in service for my brides I provide them an Emergency Bridal Kit on the day of their wedding. This kit includes personal care products, first aid, pain relievers, tools - anything you think you MIGHT need on the day of the wedding. These kits are custom made for each bride as no wedding is ever truly the same but most kits have a common core list of items. Because I have a wedding today I thought it would be a great idea to show you what's in Today's Bride's Emergency Kit.  Tools: Pliers Wire Cutters Measuring Tape Screw Drivers of various sizes (Flat Head & Phillips) Hammer  &/or Mallet It's amazing how many times you can say "I wish I had a screw driver or tape measure with me for this..." It's better to just be prepared because you never know what you'll be called to do or what will need some fixing. Personal...

Buba - Paranormal Stories

Disclaimer - If you don't like ghost stories, unexplained stories, paranormal, haunted, spiritual etc. stories, I would go ahead and skip this post. Paranormal stories, story times, vlogs and cllabs are popping up like crazy on social media, especially on YouTube. Seems like the good ol' ghost stories are back. I would say I'm a typical person who enjoys a truly thrilling ghost story but then immediately regrets hearing them the minute the sun goes down. I grew up reading the Scary Stories to Tell in the dark series and watching "Are You Afraid of the Dark" on the TV just like a lot of kids who grew up in the 80s and 90s and to this day I still love talking about the unexplained. My husband on the other hand will not have anything to do with these types of stories and let's be honest he's probably the smartest person out there for not wanting to get involved. But needless to say because he doesn't want to hear my stories I've got to tell som...
