Nursery Sneak Peek

We’re still organizing the nursery so I didn't take full pictures of the room but here's a few sneak peek photos of what we have set up so far. Our room isn't really "themed" but it's painted mint and grey and so we kept those colors in mind went we bought accessories.   This is the girls' closet. We were so blessed to have friends and family give us hand me downs on top of all the new clothing items we received from the baby showers. They have more than enough, I just hope I'm able to take pictures of them in everything before they outgrow them!!   This is their changing table (before)  When we had our showers we just put everything up and out of the way but then I realized we needed to get a system going in here so we bought small baskets from the dollar store and were able to organize the little stuff. I actually love the way it came together (and after) Top is their changing pad - cover is from Babies R Us "woodland" them...

Baby Update

I took a long time to write this post mostly because I know there will be questions from here on out, but I also know family and friends would want to know what’s been going on. February 13 th was our 32 week ultrasound. We were able to see Baby A’s face for the first time this whole pregnancy and it made me smile. As far as who she looks like…I have no idea. She looks like a baby and I can’t tell haha. I am really hoping one of them gets Eric’s beautiful blue eyes though and mostly curious to see how similar or how different these girls are going to be from one another. They both looked great, still head down but were measuring in the 30 th percentile. Last checkup they were in the 50 th so they both dropped a little bit. The doctor was not concerned about it saying twins do end up running smaller the longer they cook and we would just keep an eye on them. He even told me I make “good babies” so I’m not going to worry about it unless there comes a time to worry. February...

What is a Husband??

What is a husband? According to Google a husband is “a married man considered in relation to his spouse.” Some synonyms are spouse, partner, mate, consort, man, helpmate, etc. My husband is so much more than those words. Is he all those words mentioned; spouse, partner, mate, helpmate? Yes, of course! But to me he is my hero. I haven’t officially been diagnosed with Transient Migratory Osteoporosis as the testing I need to have done to confirm it cannot be completed until after delivery of the babies; however, I’m strongly confident that this condition is what I have. If you’ve read my previous blogs you’ll noticed I’ve mentioned it before and talked a little about what it is and somewhat of how it effects the body, but this blog isn’t about that today. No, it’s about my husband. I always knew my husband was a good man. He has a kind heart. He often thinks about other people’s problems and how to solve them before his own. He prays daily for those he knows in need. He is a...

28 Weeks Pregnancy Update

Only 10 weeks to go!! Sometimes I cannot believe how far along I am. 28 weeks, and it seems like just yesterday we were telling everyone we were pregnant. Aside from sever morning sickness in the first trimester I haven’t had any more pregnancy complications. PTL On Tuesday January 16 th we had a growth ultrasound to check on the kiddos and make sure they’re still growing on track. It was pretty routine with all the pictures they were taking. They measure their heads, stomachs, lengths of arms and legs and checked their hearts again. Everything is looking good. Both my little girls weighed 2lbs 9oz, I was kind of shocked by this because Baby B has always been my bigger baby, but A is definitely keeping up now. Baby B still measures out a little longer than A but not by much. They are 46 th and 47 th percentile. This is great news for us as now our OB is watching to make sure one or both babies don’t fall behind on the growth charts. Pregnant moms always worry about their ba...

Christmas 2017

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!! As I sit down to write this year’s Christmas letter It’s a Wonderful Life is playing in the background and I am reminded of all of the wonderful things Eric and I have enjoyed this year. In December of last year I claimed 2017 was going to be the year of the Piontkowskis and that it was going to be our miracle year. It didn’t disappoint. Eric and I had been wanting to start our family and in July our prayers were answered, we are expecting our two little girls to arrive in March 2018!! We couldn’t be more excited. My boss of five years retired in February and I now work for the Vice President of Construction. I celebrated 10 years with ULTA this past August. Eric is working for Advantage Chevrolet of Bolingbrook in their parts department and is happy there. We are blessed. Our youngest nephew Mason Oliver was born April 21 st . Just when I thought my heart couldn’t get any bigger, it did. Our four nephews have a special place in ou...

Pregnancy Favorites and Update

Merry Christmas!! I hope everyone had a great time celebrating our Lord’s birth. We sure did. My brother, Marcus, was able to be home for the holidays. There was a chance he was going to have to miss and be home in January instead but the Lord worked it out and he was able to take his leave right over Christmas break. I loved having the entire family under one roof again. I thought it would be fun to do some pregnancy favorites of mine thus far into pregnancy along with a baby update. I am 25 weeks and 5 days today, 46.5 inches around the belly, and I’ve gained my 14th pound. Doctor says I’ll probably start packing on the pounds now that babies are pretty much fully developed, their job is just to gain weight and get nice a chunky. Babies are the size of Napa Cabbage, about 14 inches long, and weighs close to two pounds each .  At my last appointment they both were head down, which is great news for me, with their feet sticking up by my ribs. Everyone keeps saying how “s...

Second Trimester Update

Hi ya'll! I figured we'd keep this post fun and light hearted with questions and answers. If you don't know or haven't seen the video posted on Facebook, we're having Twin Girls!!!! We couldn't be more excited! What themes are you going for in the nursery? We don’t necessarily have a “theme” but the nursery is currently grey and mint and we’re going to stick with a lot of grey tones. I’ve never been one for a lot of pink, so even though we’re having two girls we won’t be decking the nursery out in a lot of pink anything. What’s your birth plan? Like with any multiples pregnancy the birth plan is always up in the air. My hope is that the girls come in late march on their own without having to be induced and that I will be able to have them naturally. Carrying twins though, I do run the risk of preterm labor, placenta problems, fluid problems etc. and so an emergency cesarean section is always a possibility and shouldn’t been forgotten about. The co...
