What's in my Hospital Bag??

What’s in my hospital bag? (First Time Mom)

I’m currently 35 + 6 weeks with my twins and finally nailed down all the things for my hospital bag. Since I’m a first time mom I’m not sure if I over-packed or under-packed but I guess only time will tell at this point. My mom laughs at me, she says “when I had babies, we didn’t bring anything… I went to the hospital, wore whatever they gave me and then your dad just brought me clothes to go home in.” Oh how the times have changed mom! I thought it would just be fun to share what I have and you guys can let me know if I’m missing something or you know of something that worked great for you. Here we go!

This is my hospital bag all put together.

The opening of my bag. I have depends - I'm not sure how much I'll bleed afterward but I figured I don't want to ruin my own undies if I didn't have to. I know that the hospital provides mesh throw away underwear but I figured I'll have a few options this way.

Here I have my big comfy PJ pants (boyfriend style) and a large t-shirt (used to be my dad's when I was born). Two nursing bras, Two maternity style undies, Two black compression socks and a fuzzy pair of normal socks. My going home outfit is a grey skirt and rose colored maternity shirt.

This is the girls' stash. I have two plush pink blankets for them coming home in as it's still pretty cold here. Two star receiving blankets, little lamb outfits the girls will come home in. The outfits on the right are ones that I want their girls' pictures in. I'm not packing diapers or wipes because the hospital will provide all that and it'll just take up more room in my bag.

Lastly I have a smaller bag of toiletries. I have my makeup bag packed - not sure if I'll put it on while I'm there, but knowing me I probably will... I just need to add my toothpaste, contact case, solution and glasses.

If you’re like me then the minute your babies were born you were online looking at deals and ways to save money. I came across a lot of blog posts and articles stating if you contact this company then they will send you this product free. I thought how true is this? So I put them to the test. I took many lists from the internet and combined it into one giant list of baby product companies; I then emailed and mailed each company requesting free samples due to the birth of my twin girls. Below you will find the responses I received. Some companies were great, while others were….off putting. I included coupon codes I found o...

August 31, 2017 - Our 8 Week Ultrasound

We had our 8 week ultrasound today!! I was super nervous. I pray for my little ones every day that they both will be healthy and grow stronger and be where they need to be at, at each milestone. Of course being a part of a support group you see a ton of miscarriage stories and you hear about abnormal phenomenons and it gets your mind to wander! The scariest thing I keep thinking about is the Vanishing Twin Syndrome . I’m so worried that we’re going to go to an appointment and one will be missing. So of course I was nervous about going today but I was also really excited to see my little jelly beans again. Ok so checkup update…. I am 8 weeks and 4 days today. Baby A is measuring at 8w4d (right on target) 19.9mm and the heartbeat was 171. Baby B is measuring at 8w5d 21.4mm (“he” was also the bigger baby last time too. Think we might have a chunky monkey on our hands!) The heartbeat was 177. We got to see Baby A “wave” at us. “He” was moving his little hand, and it ...
